FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Edina High School AP Exam Rate Increasing Edina, Minn., Aug. 14, 2008 – Edina Public Schools is pleased to report that more students are taking Advanced Placements (AP) examinations and performing better than ever. Over the last two years, the number of AP exams taken at Edina High School has increased by two-thirds. Nearly 2,000 students took AP exams during the 2007-2008 school year. This number has increased from a 1,200 student average, which remained steady for the first four years of this decade. At the same time, the number of students achieving a score of three or better has not declined; in fact, it has increased slightly.
Edina’s AP program allows its students to earn credit for college-level classes. Currently, Edina offers 21 AP courses in a variety of subjects. ###  |
