Early Childhood Family Education at the Edina Family Center (EFC) is a Community Education Service of the Edina Public Schools ISD #273 and is the first connection between families and the school district. The EFC’s primary mission is to provide Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) programming. ECFE is a program unique to Minnesota and is offered in over 300 school districts throughout the state. The mission of the Edina Family Center is to support and strengthen families – the first and most important teacher in a young child’s life. ECFE classes are 1-2 hours, depending on the age of the child, and offer three components:
Edina School District 273 residents are entitled to a FREE home visit from a licensed parent educator after the birth or adoption of a baby.

Once a month the Edina Family Center is offering a Free Introductory “Baby and Me” class. Parents and infants (0-6 months) are invited to come and see what an Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) class has to offer.
Join a Licensed Parent Educator to talk about the joys and challenges of life with an infant and discuss the importance of attachment.
