2012 Best High School in America (Newsweek)

Edina is the top-ranked school in Minnesota and is the only Minnesota school to make Newsweek’s list of the Top 20 High Schools in the Midwest. 

 

2012 Gold Medal Ranking (US News and World Report) 

Edina is ranked 234th of 21,776 schools assessed nationally, and is second among schools in Minnesota.

 

2011 Best High School for Math and Science (US News and World Report)

Edina is ranked 187 out of 207 qualifying high schools and is the only school in Minnesota to make the list. 

 

2012 Best Community for Music Education (NAMM Foundation)

Edina is one of 176 communities recognized nation-wide and one of four districts in Minnesota acknowledged for commitment to and support for music education as part of the core curriculum. 

 

2011 100 Best Communities for Young People (America’s Promise Alliance)

Edina is recognized for the strength and innovation of efforts and programs to help young people graduate from high school prepared for college and the 21st century workforce. 

 

2010-11 Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments (Minnesota Department of Education)

Edina consistently  leads the state in both reading and math scores. 

 

2012 Minnesota Teacher of the Year (Education Minnesota)

Edina High School teacher Jackie Roehl is the 48th winner of the prestigious award, and the first from the Edina School District. 

 

Best High School Athletic Program in the Nation (Sports Illustrated)

Edina’s athletic program ranked eighth nationally in 2005. The rating, done once every decade,  emphasizes all-around excellence over a 10-year period. 

 

2011 AAA Rating (Moody's Investors Service and Fitch Ratings)

The District’s AAA ratings allow us to obtain the lowest interest rates available when we borrow money by issuing bonds and certificates.
